Timothy J. Chips DMD, a Pittsburgh area native, attended North Catholic High School, graduating in 1998. From there, he went on to Cornell University, receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in 2002 and to Temple University, receiving his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 2008. Dr. Tim’s post- graduate education included a hospital-based residency in Morristown, NJ which he finished in 2009. He has also completed the NYU Aesthetic Advantage cosmetic dentistry program for smile design and veneers.
Since then, Dr. Tim has maintained a keen interest in dental implants and dental implant surgery, furthering his background with courses in immediate implant placement, sinus elevation, and ridge augmentation. Dr. Tim was proud to have become a Hybridge-certified clinician, completing the Hybridge Full Arch Techniques certification and Hybridge Clinical Applications courses to further his command in treating complex dental cases with Hybridge full mouth restorations.
With over 10 years of dental implant and general dental experience, Dr. Tim has become well rounded in the surgical and prosthetic phases of dental implantology, making him an excellent asset to the people of Western Pennsylvania. He maintains membership in the American Dental Association, The Pennsylvania Dental Association, the Western Pennsylvania Dental Society, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID). He is currently working on his Associate Fellowship with the AAID. Dr. Tim’s passion for excellence and down-to-earth character helps patients connect with him, and achieve the healthy mouth and beautiful smile that they are seeking.
