Dr. Burns brings a wealth of education and qualifications to his practice, including graduating from the esteemed Indiana University School of Dentistry. His commitment to excellence is evident through his completion of the Pacific Aesthetic Continuum and the Las Vegas Institute, where he focused on cosmetic and rehabilitation of complex dental problems. Dr. Burns further distinguishes himself as a graduate and instructor at SPEAR postgraduate dental training, showcasing his dedication to advancing dental education. Additionally, he holds a degree from the Dental Organization in Conscious Sedation, highlighting his expertise in providing sedation dentistry. As a Fellow in the International Dental Implant Association, Dr. Burns is at the forefront of implant dentistry, and his certifications in HYBRIDGE implant and restorative procedures, along with Invisalign, underscore his commitment to offering a comprehensive range of advanced dental solutions.

Married to his wife Christie, a Wisconsinite, Dr. Burns is a dedicated family man with two daughters, Hannah and Maggie. Beyond dentistry, he has diverse interests, including a love for clothes and shoes, a passion for old cars, a commitment to fitness through regular workouts, and a keen interest in biohacking for optimal health.

Dr. Marius Puha brings a unique background and a meticulous eye for detail to the dental field. Before transitioning into dentistry, Dr. Puha dedicated his early career to education, working as a high school science teacher in Chicago and an assistive technology instructor for visually impaired students. Today, that educator's heart guides his dental practice. He firmly believes that no patient should ever leave his chair feeling confused, prioritizing clear communication and transparent options so individuals can make confident decisions about their oral health.

Highly trained in complex restorative procedures, Dr. Puha excels in full-arch rehabilitation, advanced implant placement, and comprehensive smile makeovers, consistently expanding his skill set through rigorous continuing education.  

Originally from Romania, Dr. Puha lived in Illinois and California before making Arizona his home. He is a devoted family man who shares three children with his wife, Sara. When he isn't transforming smiles at the practice, he is likely exploring the great outdoors, visiting national parks with his family, or participating actively in his local church community.

With over a decade of clinical experience, Dr. Matthew Catuna is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care at Burns Dentistry. A graduate of UC Davis and Loma Linda University, he has pursued advanced training in sedation, complex implantology, and cosmetic dentistry.

Dr. Catuna approaches oral health with the philosophy that a healthy mouth is intimately tied to overall systemic wellness, focusing on diagnosing and treating the root causes of dental issues rather than offering temporary fixes. Known for his ability to intuitively read the room, he adapts his communication style to fit each individual, ensuring a comfortable, unhurried environment where patients feel fully in control of their care.  

Originally from Vancouver, Washington, Dr. Catuna was raised by Romanian immigrant parents and has lived across California and New Mexico. Outside of the clinic, he is an avid soccer player and coach. In his spare time, he enjoys attending local Renaissance fairs, tackling home improvement projects, and staying active in his church community.
